Penkridge has a railway station on the West Coast Main Line railway next to the Grade I listed medieval church. It is served by National Express long-distance coaches, by D&G Bus service 75 (Cannock-Stafford) and also by occasional services provided by Select Bus from Wolverhampton to Stafford on services 877/878. As from April 2021, service 75 will be replaced by Select Bus service 875.
